About the name:

Slippery Acres Amphibian Farm is a patch of wet woods and is home to several species of free ranging frogs. There are toads and salamanders too. It is a happy place where Longhouse Creek passes on its way to bigger waters. The name came from a short story that has long since been recycled, but the name was too good to discard. Spring is an exciting time because the frogs are calling as they go to the singles-pond down by the stream.
